World Book Day

Congratulations to all of the pupils who took part in the Potato Character Competition. They were tasked with using a potato to create a character, or group of characters, from a favourite book.

Pictured below are the 1st and 2nd place prizewinners from nursery to Year 7 pupils.

Spring Into Life

The birdsong beckons the start of Spring.  However, when spring officially begins will depend on whether you follow the astronomical (Astronomical Spring 20th March to 21st June 2025), meteorological (Meteorological Spring 1st March to 31st May 2025) or the phenological timeline.

Here at Edwards, we have sprung into life by planning an exciting programme of learning activities for our pupils.  These include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) week which will run from the week beginning Monday 7th April 2025.  Staff from W5, the AmmA Centre and SENTINUS will visit school to deliver STEM based learning experiences to all our pupils.  As part of our STEM project each pupil will design, make a STEM model and then evaluate their design.  All models will be displayed in the school hall at an Exhibition entitled ‘Who, What, Where, When & Why of STEM’ on Friday 11th April 2025.  Family and friends will be invited to our STEM Exhibition (details to follow).

We also look forward to our Easter Basket Bonanza and Egg Hunt.

Happy Easter Everyone!
