E-Safety
We are lucky that we live in a time when most of us have access to the internet and can stay connected with our families, friends and communities virtually. Having access to online communication platforms brings with it some important considerations and responsibilities.
E-Safety is an important part of keeping children safe at Edwards Primary School. E-Safety is embedded within both our PDMU and ICT curriculum. E-safety is a regular part of the learning experience as UICT is an essential learning resource for all subjects in this digital age. Therefore, whenever IT is used, the common language and routines of being safe online is part of children's understanding of staying safe.
We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure the e-Safety message is consistent. It is important that parents speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online. If you have any concerns, at any time, please speak to your child's class teacher, Mrs McClelland, Mrs Warnock or Miss Roke.
