Year 6 Christmas Party 

We had lots of fun decorating our gingerbread men and women. Wishing all the boys and girls a very Merry Christmas and looking forward to seeing you all in the New Year! 

Santa Claus is coming…..

to Edwards!

What an exciting day we had in Edwards. Santa arrived in a very fancy sports car. Thankfully we are all on the NICE list!

Christmas Dinner 2024 

We had a beautiful Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Special thanks to Declan and all the ladies in the kitchen for looking after us all year round.

Viking Day in Year 6

The Viking Centre - Navan

Friday 22nd November 2024

We had a great day learning more about the Vikings at the Navan Centre. We met a Viking who showed us Viking weapons and told us about Viking names and slaves. Next we learnt about Viking sailors and boats, we got to feel how heavy the chain mail was and we saw how Vikings and monks dressed. Lastly we made a bookmark writing our names in Viking Runes and we used a quill and ink to write a poem. It was a great day out.

Year 6 are learning all about Butterflies.

Chloe and Amber, found a little caterpillar and brought it into class to show everyone.

Thank you girls!

For the last week, year 6 were asked to design a 3D Volcano at home. Some of the materials they used were as follows: Paint, newspaper, kitchen roll, plastic bottles and tape.

This has been a very fun experience and we had great fun watching them erupt in front of the whole class.

Well done to all the boys and girls for all their hard work and effort!

Year 6 were invited to Castlederg Library to discuss taking out books, opening hours and to see what is available. We really enjoyed the storytelling and information.

Plate Tectonic Puzzles! 
Year 6 have been working hard learning about the layers of the Earth. We worked in pairs to build plate tectonic puzzles!
